28 October 2011

While my big cleaning post is still in the works, I wanted to drop in and share a little something.

Recently I watched the documentary Tapped about the  bottled water industry, and I don’t think I’ll buy a bottle of water again.

I thought I’d share the trailer.  You can watch the full movie through Netflix Online Instant Streaming or download it for rent or to own on iTunes.

Visit the movie’s site for more information.

I’ve really become a big fan of Sigg bottles, especially with all the skepticism surrounding plastic products.

Thanks for bringing this up on your blog! I’ll admit, I try to use reusable cups for water 75% of the time, but am an avid Perrier / Talking Rain (any kind of sparking water drinker). I’ve been contemplating getting one of those Soda Stream products (http://www.sodastreamusa.com/) for some time now and this trailer has forced be to seriously think about it. Do you know if the documentary is available through streaming on Netflix?

It is available through streaming on Netfilx. I hadn’t thought about the Soda Stream. That would be a great alternative for sparkling water products.

I only really buy bottled water when I can’t find another option, but I’ll check out that documentary and maybe I’ll start carrying my own water bottle!

I haven’t bought watered bottle since December 2009. Bottled water was all I used to drink. Now I carry my camelback or nalgene EVERYWHERE!! I love this little blog of yours!

Bottled water can just be so convenient. It’s easy. You don’t have to think. Hard to believe what a big scam the industry is. Thanks for stopping by!

Whoa!!! That is NUTS!!! I don’t think I will ever drink bottled water again. It is so maddening when bottled water is the only option at events and festivals, too. What a racket!
